Geoffrey is a red shunting engine who works on the Wellsworth-Brendam Branch Line.

Bio

Geoffrey was brought to Sodor to do some of Henry's work whilst he was ill and taking coal to the yards, but Thomas and Percy made Henry pull a long line of trucks which made Henry grind to a halt, Geoffrey came alongside and helped Henry to the yards, and as a reward, the Fat Controller lets him stay on the island. Henry thanks him for helping him, and Geoffrey is happy to hear.

In the second season, Geoffrey welcomes Stepney as he visits Sodor, he also tries to stop Normandy and Tom from arguing and he later joins the Christmas party after Thomas delivers the Christmas tree.

After the second season, however until the seventh season, Geoffrey did not appear again, due to him being at the works for repairs, although, in Where's Geoffrey?, Thomas lied to the other engines that Geoffrey is home (but in reality he wasn't, as there was still another month yet to go by), the Fat Controller scolds Thomas for this towards the end, he returned in the episode Geoffrey's Back, Geoffrey actually returns to Sodor, and when Thomas tells the other engines, they don't believe him and think he's lying, but they find out that he isn't towards the end where they all see him.

In The Engines Split, Geoffrey was one of the few ten engines who stayed on Sodor when some of the engines left Sodor due to arguments, the others being Thomas, Toby, Ben, Stepney, Flying Scotsman, Rhys, Ryan, Bear, and Joseph.

Persona

Geoffrey is a well-behaved engine, who is eager to help anyone in trouble, Geoffrey is kindhearted and is a good friend of Henry, he worries if an engine is ill and cannot do their work properly, but he is also a clever and wise engine, too.

Livery

Geoffrey is painted in the NWR's red livery with yellow and black lining. He has red wheels and a red dome.

• Geoffrey's name was chosen, due to that in the real Thomas episode "Who's Geoffrey?", Thomas makes a made-up engine called Geoffrey, and tells Victor that he's red, and this came into DonaldDouglasandOliver11's mind.
• Geoffrey's model was reused for the second red engine who appeared in the Railway Series.
